Breaking News: Richardson Withdraws from Presidential Race

LatinaLista — The Associated Press reports that New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson has withdrawn his bid for the presidency.

New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson
Couple his poor results in both Iowa and New Hampshire and, as reported earlier this evening by Latina Lista, Latino groups in Nevada had delivered early endorsements to Hillary Clinton, Richardson’s withdrawl from the race makes sense, no matter how disappointing it is for the Latino community.
Yet, Richardson has wit, experience and a knack for DIPLOMACY going for him.
Pretty good criteria for a Vice-President!

Evelyn: “PRESIDENT BARRACK OBAMA and VICE PRESIDENT BILL RICHARDSON”
That just might fly. People might trust Hussein more if Richardson was his VP. I would since Richardson has the experience. But Obama’s 1 page resume… actually, he’s got less than 4 years experience in Washington, isn’t going to cut it for me any other way. He does need a strong VP and after Cheney the country should be cautious about that.
I just might cross party lines (for the first time in my life and I’ve been voting since ’77) and go with McCain. Clinton and Obama just will not get my vote. Edwards will if he stays in.

Richardson is out and Obama is an empty suit with little experience or notable accomplishments as a politician. Richardson has a stellar background to be President, but lacked support even by his own ethnic group.
And for the socialist, Hillbill, not Commander-in-Chief material. We don’t need a crying, sniveling weakling commanding our military or negotiating policies with Islamic nations where she will not recieve any respect. Who will she break down in front of next, the Hitler of Iran?
Where the hell is Colin Powell when this nation is looking for a nationalist with wisdom of world affairs?

miguel, who started with the “racist” remarks in this thread? Hint, it wasn’t me.
I have no problem voting for a Black man or a Hispanic as long as they would be a president for ALL citizens and uphold the laws of this country.

Again we our at the mercy of the system that allows manipulation of the numbers and if need be the vote of the supreme court.
The people that can afford to run for office, I hope, will represent the people and not the interest groups that put up the money.
Regardless, vote if you want a voice and ignore the skin your president is wrapped in.
    P.S. what race card?

Frank, I read it and it doesn’t mention Frank by name in it. Why do you feel you had to respond to it? Maybe just a shoe looking for a fit. Shake it off.

You just admitted on another thread that the shoe fit Frank.

Evelyn, don’t be coy here. You have called me a racist in just about everywhere in this blog and you know what you were implying here. I am not a racist and those who would choose not to vote for an Obama/Richardson ticket wouldn’t necessarily be racists either. Although I would suspect that some who “would” vote for that ticket could be voting for them for their own racist reasons. Minorities always think they can gain favor by voting for other minorities.
I wouldn’t vote for Obama because I don’t like his stance on illegal immigration, he appears arrogant to me and I believe he lacks the experience to lead this country. I would however vote for a Black candidate if he were to show he would be a president for ALL Americans and uphold the laws of this country. They same applies to Richardson. He has made comments about “his” people so that means to me that he is ethnocentric and not presidential material.

So pointing out someone elses constant use of the race card is to admit racism about oneself? Eh? I have never admitted to being a racist and that is because I am not a racist.

You can easily convince me your not a racists by NOT spreading lies about about certain groups of people Frank, not by stating it over and over.
How about this, you quit printing racists posts about immigrants especially Mexicans, and I will NOT say you are a racists again. I will give it 2 days so if you’ve posted anything bashing these people it has time to clear.

Evelyn, we have a difference of opinion of what the truth is about illegal aliens, so that isn’t going to work. You call my sources lies, therefore you call me a liar? I think your sources are telling the lies. But just because we differ on what sources we believe that still doesn’t make either of us a racist. You keep making it a personal attack.
I usually argue from the rule of law point of view anyway. I don’t “dwell” on much of anything else. That isn’t to say that I don’t bring up statistics “according to my sources” but the rule of law is what has always been my main argument.

I have never called your sources lies based on my opinion. I have called them lies based on the expertise of those able to make that call.
I showed you in great detail how the experts(SPLC experts on racists issues) used by our government, when trying to prove cases in a court of law, have proved and exposed ‘YOUR SOURCES’
are spawned by one organization named FAIR. FAIR was founded by one man named John Tanton, who according to the experts (SPLC) is a racists with an agenda to promote hate and racism toward Mexicans and Blacks.
By making up lies about Immigrants and Mexicans and spawning organizations, (funded and led by FAIR) that support these lies, these organizations are able to spread hate and racism using people who believe these lies, and spread them even more.
How anyone can keep believing an organization that has been exposed as racists, and discredited as using lies is beyond comprehension!
In other words Frank your “sources” are lying and are exposed as racists. I showed you that in detail, and yet you still keep using them. That is what makes you look foolish, and points clearly to your racism.
As to your rule of law, I suggest we change it to rule of HYPOCRITES. Anyone who knows History and knows this country was founded by people who broke the same law and many more to found this Nation is a hypocrite!
Their are laws that are considered immoral and this is one of those laws. When a law hurts the very people it is suppose to protect it is considered immoral law. All credible evidence gathered pertaining to Immigrants show they help our economy, and many other aspects of our lives and also better theirs. The only thing standing in the way is a law that is a draconian law passed in 1965 that doesnt work today without adding other laws. this is why we need Immigration Reform that is also Humane in the treatment of those who were allowed to settle in the U.S. while our government looked the other way, and we reaped the benefits of the services and products their work brought to us.

Evelyn, no I am not a hypocrite. I oppose anyone who entered this country illegally past, present and in the future and that would include my ancestors if they had come here illegally. But I can’t change any of it and I personally didn’t come here illegally, I was born here. Just how ridiculous are you going to get with this anyway?

  • Evelyn
    January 14, 2008 at 3:51 am

The ridiculous one here is you, because you refuse to see the facts. Frank!
You might have been born here, but your not going to get away with doing the same things your ancestors did!

  • Frank
    January 15, 2008 at 11:50 am

Kind of hard to do what one’s ancestors did when they weren’t born here but migrated here. I didn’t migrate here, I was born here. Therefore, there is no way that I could possibly do what my ancestors did.

  • Evelyn
    January 15, 2008 at 10:58 pm

Exactly, your ancestors migrated here exactly like the migrants of today did, except the migrants of today didn’t murder any of us intentionally, like your ancestors did.

My ancestors didn’t murder anyone. They came here well after the settlers and the native indian conflicts. They played no role in that whatsover, they were all in Europe when those things occured. They didn’t come here until the early 1900’s. My ancestors came here legally AFTER this country was established as the sovereign nation of the USA with an established government and borders. Not one native indian was murdered by ANY of my ancestors. Can you say the same thing for your Spanish ancestors?

  • Evelyn
    January 16, 2008 at 7:46 pm

    Frank
    I don’t have Spanish Ancestors.
When I speak of Europeans it stands to reason I include the Spanish, after all they are from Europe!
Just because you or your family didn’t pull the trigger or wield the knife that took the life of the original inhabitants of America, doesnt mean you are not responsible for those crimes.
When you have knowledge and support and reap the benefits of said crime, you are considered an accessory to the crime, and are also guilty of said crime.
All I have is your word that your family didn’t actually take part in this massive heinous crime, and I already know that your word has about as much creditability as the lies the racists use to demonize immigrants and Mexicans.

Last I looked, Ireland was in Europe too. That should ring some bells. Must hurt to be a parent being accused of something they had no part in from their own child and their mixed blood child hating the entire race that the one parent is of.
