Looking for Ideas to Spend Your Tax Return — Head to NYC!

Tax Season is officially over and by now most of you have already filed your taxes and are either waiting for your return or holding onto your return to figure out how to spend that money. Well here’s an idea, why don’t you head over to NYC? It is one of my favorite cities to visit and get lost in different cultures, smells, and views.

My friends over at CitySights NY, the iconic double-decker buses in NYC, has suggested some of the top places to treat yourself guilt free in this magnificent city:

  • For those that would spend not only breakfast but lunch and dinner while looking at all those sparkly jewels in those perfect blue boxes we know where you’ll be hopping off – the iconic Tiffany’s & Co. on Fifth Ave
  • For the Shopaholic, heaven is on earth at Bloomingdales and Saks 5th Avenue, the ideal spot to stop and splurge
  • Techies beware, enter at your credit cards own risk at the Apple Store on Fifth

  • Music lovers have plenty to choose from at Radio City Music Hall from Barry Manilow May 1st and 2nd to Anita Baker on May 6th
  • Stop drooling over Grub Street and Bon Appétit in your cubicle and spend that check at a restaurant we know you’re dying to try. Foodies out there can hop off Downtown and walk over to Bouley Restaurant for a très chic tasting menu
  • If that child inside you still lives for the acrobats and exotic creatures of the circus coming to town, Cirque du Soleil: Zarkana is a must see and it’s coming to New York City at Radio City Music Hall from June 6th to the 7th
  • For the thesbians, head to Broadway to see the Oscar-winning film turned musical, Once or the Broadway rendition of the classic film Ghost, a supernatural love story that’s bound to be a guilty pleasure
  • April 26th may as well be Christmas for football fans, I’m sure we don’t need to tell you to head to Radio City Music Hall for the NFL Draft, keep those fingers crossed and kick off the season right

  • For the Romantic with a sweet tooth, stop by Serendipity, for original frozen hot chocolate and find something pleasantly unexpected by chance…well almost
  • For the Movie Geek head to the Tribeca Film Festival, with events and showings running from Wednesday April 18ththrough Sunday April 29th
