Since 1999, La Unidad Latina Foundation has served as an independent, non-profit, charitable organization dedicated to funding educational achievement and civic empowerment in the Latino community. The objectives of the LUL Foundation include awarding scholarships ranging from $500 to $1000 to scholars pursuing academic excellence in higher education, and funding community programs and student organizations dedicated to the civic empowerment in the Latino community.

La Unidad Latina Foundation believes that supporting organizations dedicated to the civic empowerment of the Latino community is critically important. Since 2000, 23 organizations have received funding from LUL Foundation for leadership development conferences, cultural awareness events, mentoring programs, and voter registration campaign, including Sigma Chapter of Lambda Upsilon Lambda Fraternity for its 10th Anniversary Celebration Event, Cornell Latino Alumni Association for a new membership campaign, National Network of Latin American Medical Students for the Southwest Regional Conference for Latino Medical Students, The Greenlining Institute for its graduate internship program, Alpha Epsilon Chapter of Lambda Upsilon Lambda Fraternity for a college exposure program for middle school students, and many more.
