Colombian Delegation Arrives in Pensacola

PENSACOLA — The U.S. Department of State is sponsoring a project of its International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) that focuses on Governance and Public Administration.

Their objectives include highlighting governmental cooperation in facets such as education, health care, poverty reduction, drug trafficking and crime reduction, and water and waste management.

Pensacola is receiving six visitors from Colombia on this program which include: the International Cooperation Advisor to Vice President Garzon; the Accion Social Coordinator, an Auxiliary Magistrate, a Senior Advisor of the Financial Intelligence Unit, the first female Mayor of El Carmen, and a Coordinator of a Regional Consolidation Center.

The group is being hosted in Pensacola by the Gulf Coast Citizen Diplomacy Council…
