CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Health Care (CSRHC) celebrates a momentous occasion in its proud 140-year history with the opening of Westover Hills’ first full-service hospital. The new CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital – Westover Hills is the realization of a journey which began in 2006 when CSRHC made a commitment to bring needed health care services to one of San Antonio’s fastest growing communities.

“We are proud to add this new, full-service health care facility to our family of hospitals in San Antonio and New Braunfels,” said Don A. Beeler, FACHE, President and CEO of CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Health Care. “For more than 140 years, we have provided high quality health care to those in need, and with the opening of this new hospital, we continue that tradition.”
CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital – Westover Hills is situated on Hwy. 151 between Wiseman Blvd. and Westover Hills Blvd. The 150-bed, 315,000 sq. ft. hospital features such services as a 24/7 emergency department; comprehensive women’s services including obstetrics and newborn care; inpatient and outpatient surgery; family medicine and critical care. The hospital will offer physicians and patients access to the latest in high tech imaging services, digital medical technology and specialized equipment, including digital radiology imaging, digital echocardiograms and digital cardiac catheterization. Additionally, an electronic medical records system will be in place, which will enhance patient safety, minimize paper records, and maximize physician connectivity and access to patient information. Designed to promote a healing environment with patient and family comfort in mind, the hospital will also feature private, family-focused inpatient rooms, a family resource center, faith-based chapel, a healing garden and a CHRISTUS Healthy Living TM Marketplace.

“Our goal is to provide this growing community with quality health care close to home,” stated Jeff Bourgeois, Vice President and Administrator of CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital – Westover Hills. “We are grateful for the welcoming spirit of the residents and businesses in this community, and are proud to bring this level of service and caring to Westover Hills.”
