Shenandoah Hate Crime Trial Jury Verdict: Guilty

LatinaLista — Reporter Gustavo Martinez reports from the federal courthouse in Scranton, PA that the jury in the hate crime trial against Derrick Donchak, 20, and Brandon Piekarsky, 18, found both young men guilty of a hate crime.
Donchak was also found guilty of aiding and abetting and conspiring a cover-up after the beating.
Trembling and sobbing, both young men were led away in handcuffs. The judge said both are to remain detained in jail until their sentencing on January 24, 2010.
Both face possible life sentences.
