Video: Children’s book illustrator shares how his imagination saved his life

LatinaLista — Imagination is a strong force and for children’s book author and illustrator Jarrett J. Krosoczka it was what saved him from a difficult childhood and set him on course to a successful career.

The author, well known for titles like Ollie the Elephant, Lunch Lady, Punk Farm, and others, shared with a TEDx audience his unique journey of pursuing his passion for drawing by relying on his imagination to escape his unhappy relationship with his drug addict mother.

Krosoczka’s experience is inspirational and shows that even from the most difficult of circumstances there is a way to escape, succeed and grow as a person.
