Understanding just how far back in nation’s history has been the fight for the right to vote

LatinaLista — The deadline for registering to vote in the November election is fast approaching — October 9 — and many people will miss out on one of the most important elections in the nation’s history simply because they aren’t registered.

Today has been designated National Voter Registration Day. Across the country and throughout cyberspace, people will be asked if they are registered to vote.

One organization, Cuéntame, that uses multimedia to deliver serious issues in an entertaining way, created a new video tracing the history of those who fought for the right of the United States to remain a free and democratic country and exercise the power to vote.
