Peru’s National Museum of Archaeology, Anthropology and History opens its doors in ‘Museums Online” website

LatinaLista — If visiting Peru’s National Museum of Archaeology, Anthropology and History (MNHAAP) has been on your bucket list, you may be able to check that off sooner than you thought.

The MNHAAP opened its virtual doors to cyber-museum goers in May when they joined the Peruvian national Museums Online website, joining sister sitesMuseo de Sitio de Huallamarca, Museo Nacional de la Cultura de Peruana and Museo de Arte Italiano.

The virtual museum offers visitors the opportunity to explore over 19,000 cultural items showcasing Peru’s extensive cultural heritage in an online catalog. With 3D technology, visitors can also take a walking tour of each collection, zero in on the masterpieces for more information, take a QR Tour that allows visitors to scan codes to get information about parts of the museum corresponding to certain rooms and access a geo-location tool to find the museums’ addresses, their hours and admission fees — for when you’re actually in the country working on that bucket list.
