Hard Rock restaurant chain launches anti-hunger campaign with special rock ‘n roll CD

LatinaLista — Hunger is a global phenomenon that is on the increase. Whether it’s due to a bad economy or Mother Nature’s anger, the bottom line is that 854 million people are not only going to bed hungry but waking up that way too.

One organization that wants to do something to combat it is Hard Rock International, parent company of the Hard Rock Cafes. Hard Rock International has launched its 2008 global “Imagine There’s No Hunger” campaign.
The campaign benefits WHY, a nonprofit organization that strives to fight against hunger and poverty and benefit grassroots efforts in Kenya, Haiti, Indonesia, Thailand, South Africa, Venezuela and New Orleans.
To raise money to combat hunger, Hard Rock International is selling a CD compilation of famous artists in what is titled Serve3.
“The CD will include rare, new or previously unreleased tracks from some of music’s most influential artists, including John Lennon, Bruce Springsteen, Joss Stone, Avril Lavigne, Starsailor, My Morning Jacket and more.”

“I am glad that WHY is using John’s lyrics to communicate the seriousness of this issue to the world,” said Yoko Ono. “Let’s all work together to make a world without hunger as soon as humanly possible. We owe this battle to our children. WAR IS OVER if you want it. In brotherhood and sisterhood.”

SERVE3 will be available at Hard Rock restaurants around the world and also on the Hard Rock website. Starting November 4, SERVE3 will also be available at iTunes.com.
In the meantime, you can hear what the CD sounds like and get a free download in the process.
