Kleenex shows Latino pride is nothing to “sneeze” at

LatinaLista — It seems that it’s never too early to start planning to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. The folks at Kleenex (of the Kimberly-Clark family of products) actually began in December of last year when they put out a nationwide call to Latino artists to come up with a new design for their upright Kleenex boxes that illustrate Latino pride. The boxes will be produced by the time Hispanic Heritage Month rolls around in September.

Over six hundred Latina and Latino artists answered the call. Recently, company officials whittled down the winning possibilities to 12 designs. Now, it’s up to us.
Visitors to the Con Kleenex Expresa tu Hispanidad site can vote for their favorite design. The top three vote-getting artists each wins a $5,000 prize plus the opportunity to see their design grace upright Kleenex boxes on store shelves everywhere.
With images ranging from town churches, quaint pueblos, and sensuous Latinas to modern bursts of color and representations of Latino music, each design is unique, beautiful and will prove hard to choose only one.

Thankfully, we get to vote once a day up till March 22. So, if you can’t make up your mind, start casting your votes because there’s not much time left.
