Video: Latina mother has “honest conversation” about having gay children

Like all parents, Latino parents are no different in the dreams and hopes they have for their children. Yet, those dreams are compounded by the deeply rooted roles gender and gender expectations play in Latino culture. For one family, the Moreno's, balancing gender expectations, parental dreams and culture with the reality that two of their children, Samantha and Guillermo, were gay showed that Latino family culture and queer sexuality are not mutually exclusive. "What if you had two kids that were gay? is part of the Cuéntame | Brave New Foundation LGBTQ series, 'An Honest Conversation."
