“Not In Our Town: Light In The Darkness” is a documentary about the violent beating and death of Ecuadorian immigrant Marcelo Lucero at the hands of a group of teenagers on Long Island in 2008. The documentary is about how the residents of Patchogue, New York came together to take action after anti-immigrant violence devastated the community. The one-hour documentary debuted on PBS in 2011 and it served as the inspiration for a national anti-hate campaign.
