Video: The three Rs of throwing away trash

LatinaLista — Ever wonder what happens to our trash after we throw it away?

Our dependable Climate Change Superhero, the Green Ninja, shows viewers of all ages that trash doesn't disappear just because it's thrown away — it has a nasty habit of growing.

The United Nations released a report recently revealing that for waste of electronic products alone the "volume of e-waste worldwide will rise 33 percent by 2017 to 65.4 million tons."

Excess waste is bad for the health of both the planet and humans. The Green Ninja reminds everyone of practicing the 3 Rs when it comes to dealing with our trash.

While the lesson is done in a humorous way, it's a serious problem that everyone can battle to give the planet a fighting chance.
