Video: Latina doctoral student blazes trail in crocodile studies

There aren’t too many female crocodile hunters and there aren’t that many Latina scientists who have a love for the reptile in its true teeth-biting form. Yet one such woman exists and KPCC introduces us to Marisa Tellez. The 30-year-old graduate student is breaking new ground in the study of crocodilian immune systems and learning about her own heritage along the way.
