A new infographic by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) shows the devastating effects of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) on children and its impact on their adult lives.
These experiences may cause them to develop negative behaviors and puts them at risk of:
Drug and alcohol dependency
Smoking
Cancer
Strokes
STDs
Diabetes
Heart Disease
RWJF is part of a growing network of leaders in research, policy and practice who are working to prevent ACEs and mitigate their impact through building resilience.
