San Antonio.- The number of Hispanic-owned businesses (HOB’s) has rapidly increased since 2002 in Texas and in the nation. This reality led to a study conducted by Dr. Bruce Kellison and Dr. Elise Echeverri-Carroll from, the IC² Institute at The University of Texas at Austin.

The focus of this study was on the Hispanic-owned businesses with paid employees in Texas. All samples were mailed out in hope of active participation from HOB’s. The results of the mail survey were taken from 2,811 questionnaires mailed during the summer of 2011.

Dr. Kellison and Dr. Echeverri-Carroll attended the 37th annual TAMACC Convention and Business Expo to unveil the findings of the Bureau of Business Research Survey of Hispanic Businesses in Texas.

Communication-including oral presentations, written communication and interpersonal communication.
