Video: The futility of separating Latino identity from Latino culture

LatinaLista — “Being Hispanic is cool.” It’s the heart of the message that Glenn Llopis, founder of the Center for Hispanic Leadership, shares in his first episode from the new web series, “Lessons From My Father,” created in partnership with YouTube’s MiTu network.

The series’ focus is to show how the Latino culture can be tapped to advance personal growth and business success. The first episode titled “Our Hispanic Identity Lies Within Our Culture” reviews the basic foundations of Latino culture that define the essence of what differentiates Latinos from everyone else.

At the same time, while celebrating the uniqueness of Latino culture, Llopis also points out the cultural pitfalls that have historically held Latinos and Latinas back and urges for a new mindset going forward to achieve the kind of success that lies in the future for all Latinos.
