LatinaLista — The debate over immigration reform these days always entails the argument of how much immigrants, particularly undocumented, are taking away from U.S. society, rather than giving into it.
In that vein, lawmakers have reacted by passing legislation that bars them from doing everything ranging from getting driver’s licenses to receiving in-state tuition to not being able to receive public health care. But if the facts were known as to how much immigrants actually contribute to society when they have legal status, some critics may be amazed.
The Center for American Progress created a video to answer critics’ doubts about the unique relationship between immigrants and the economy and how much their presence in the workforce and as consumers make them an integral part of every country’s economic well-being.
