Video: Boston school forging a new dialogue on the state of public education

LatinaLista — “Everybody knows what it feels like to go to school, but do you know what it feels like to go to a great school?”

It’s a question that serves as the premise for A Year at Mission Hill, 10-part video series on Boston’s Mission Hill school.

Two filmmakers decided to focus their lenses on one academic year at Mission Hill and try to understand what makes Mission Hill school stand apart from its peers and how it is creating a new path in public education while forging a dialogue that is long overdue.

A Year at Mission Hill captures the stories of a single community. But the series is designed to elevate the stories of communities across the country – and to provide a cross-platform multimedia opportunity to clarify what powerful teaching and learning actually looks like – and requires. #YearatMH
