Spotlight Non-profit: Reinforcing in Latino students the value of being bilingual and bicultural

LatinaLista– When talking about the future of the Latino community, everyone always looks to the younger generations. That’s where La Cima comes in.

La Cima promotes the bicultural, bilingual, and bi-literate experience of Latinos in America. Our goal is to assist Latino youth as they merge with the greater community while maintaining their cultural and linguistic identity.
La Cima increases self-esteem of participants and helps monolingual Spanish speakers connect with the greater local community.

La Cima has offices in three states and conducts a series of summits training student delegates in leadership and academic skills to achieve their goals. We at La Cima know that success largely depends on our abilities to speak, read, and write well. Our message takes the idea one step further-to speak, read, and write well in two languages makes one an asset to the growing economic, educational, and health needs in a growing Latino market.
