Campaign: Malesh Activewear
Mesly Guzman has six years experience working in the apparel industry with such companies as Oakley, Jois Yoga and Oiselle Running.
It wasn’t long before she realized that most brands only catered to misses in sizes 0-10. She noticed that the average woman did not fit into most of the existing options and saw the need for an activewear brand that celebrated fit and fashion for the plus-size woman.
With her experience in concept design, pre-production management and full production across all selling seasons, Guzman launched Malesh Activewear.
Guzman spent over a year developing a product to perfect the fit on the plus-size body, adding high performance fabrics and contemporary designs to offer a unique brand.
Malesh Activewear defies the cultural norm in fashion by leading a movement for size diversification in the activewear industry rooted in the belief that every woman should benefit from a beautifully fit garment.
Malesh Activewear, Inc. is the premium brand of activewear for curvy women on the premise of comfortable fit, reliable performance, and contemporary design.
Made in the United States, Malesh satisfies a need for premium fashionable activewear, referred to as ath-leisure, in the market for plus-size females in sizes 12-24.
In the United States 67% of women wear a size 14 and up!
The goal is to launch a full summer collection in May 2015.
