Campaign: #LatinosGive on Giving Tuesday
December 1 is #GivingTuesday, a global movement to celebrate and encourage generosity around the world. In an effort to “Latinize” #GivingTuesday, HIPGive and NBC Latino have joined forces to launch a new social media campaign called #LatinosGive.
#LatinosGive is meant to help reshape the national narrative by encouraging Latinos to share every day stories of how they give back to their families, communities, and society.
On Dec. 1, NBC Latino and HIPGive will select the top 10 #LatinosGive stories to be published on a special feature at NBC Latino.
To join this very special campaign all you need to do is the following:
- Share a short video or a photo on FB, Twitter and/or Instagram completing the sentence: #LatinosGive …(i.e. dedication, love, hard work, heritage, culture, cariño, good food, etc.)
- Write one or two of the words chosen on the palm of your hand or the side of your arm and show it with pride in your photo or video.
- Tell an inspirational story that illustrates the word(s) chosen, either through a short (< 30 secs) video or on the photo’s caption.
- Tag friends to join and tell them that the top stories will be shared on a special feature on NBC Latino.
All of the posts using the #LatinosGive hashtag will be automatically shared through Latinosgive.org on a live social media feed.
