It seems the closer we get to the November presidential elections, each day is packed with more notable news. In other words, slow news days are welcome respites to the regular deluge flooding our feeds these days. Today is no different. For example, we have the debate between Trump and Harris tonight (9 pm EST). The world knows just how different these candidates are from one another but tonight’s debate will bring those difference and similarities into sharper focus; In other news, our southern border isn’t the only place seeing a surge in migrants. Streaming across the Canadian-US border is another type of migrant; New FDA rules go into effect that empower women to know more about the results of their mammograms; It’s fall and the time of pumpkin spice, turning leaves, airing our sweaters from the back of the closet and — air conditioning! Fall is getting warmer nationwide and a new map shows just where and by how much it’s happening; And our last entry today is our southern neighbor Mexico. If a vote happening today in Mexico’s Senate, by its supermajority, passes a so-called judicial reform bill then Mexico’s future is written — they are on their way to being an authoritarian country and violating agreements with the United States and Canada. Many people, inside and out of Mexico, declare today’s vote, if successfully passed, as being the first step for Mexico becoming the next Venezuela. Go beyond the headlines…
