Though Jerome Powell, head of the Federal Reserve, and other economists are increasingly pleased of themselves for ‘taming’ the US economy, the reality is people are still losing their jobs. Almost everyone knows of someone who has been laid off or fears being laid off. In fact, the anxiety of being laid off is now top of mind for many Americans, according to a new survey; Innocent civilians caught in the crossfire of wars are regarded as “collateral damage.” Their deaths were unintended but not avoided. There are many countries around the world where civilians are suffering the egotistical delusions of men wanting to rule the world, or at least, their region. So, it’s easy to overlook what Doctors Without Borders is describing as “horrendous violence” happening in a part of the country most of the world bypasses; Not to bury the historic decision of President Biden giving up his run for the 2024 presidential race, but most of us felt it was an inevitable outcome.
