LatinaLista — What will the future of learning look like? Will it be done in schools? Will it be done virtually? Will there be teachers or holographic images? Will there be textbooks?
The questions, along with, the possibilities, are endless but one thing is certain — the way people learn has to change. Our changing society demands it.
Because of the failure of the current system of learning that has yielded uneven results — whether for reasons of gender, socio-economic status, ethnicity or different learning styles — there are creative people already tackling this challenging issue. Not too long ago, some innovative thinkers gathered together for a panel discussion hosted by @radicalmedia and The 92nd Street Y.
The panel was moderated by Laura Pappano and featured:
Abigail Besdin, Partnerships & Business Development, Skillshare
Joe Hall, President & Founder, Ghetto Film School
Jake Schwartz, Founder, General Assembly
Joel Rose, Co-Founder/CEO, New Classrooms Innovation Partners
The one-hour discussion touched on a variety of new ways these education innovators foresee the future of learning and how it doesn’t have to wait for the future to get started.
